Invergordon 35 year old 47.4% Bladnoch Forum Bottle

Invergordon 35 year old 47.4%

Single Grain Whisky

Intense and quite oily for an Invergordon.

Opens with a lovely depth of bourbon-esque flavoured toffee coated bananas sprinkled with decadent cinnamon spices. It has a hard grainy depth with earthy dunnage floor notes – a superb balance. Soft, smooth and magical. Oily toffee, honey, natural caramel and spices. Intense oak is kept in check by the alcohol, with nice leafy spices on the middle.

Finishes with an almost rum like dried fruitiness. Water brings out a coffee-cream note on the nose.

On the palate it emphasises the bourbon/ cream/ toffee, reduces the intensity but brings forward the spices and a touch of violet. – Go neat for the full effect!
